Building Blocks



Project size:
1 11/16 x 1 11/16 x 1 11/16 inches

Tools:
Saw
Sander

Supplies:
Scraps of pine, fir or oak
Sandpaper
Stain safe for children (optional)
Ink pad
Set of letter stamps 1 1/8 inches high
Set of number stamps 1 1/8 inches high

Instructions:
1. Select scraps of wood that do not easily splinter and are not toxic.
2. Cut 45 blocks from scraps 1 11/16 x 1 11/16 x 1 11/16 inches.
3. Using sander or sandpaper, round off all edges and all corners .
4. Remove all dust from blocks.
5. If staining, add stain to three sides of blocks; let dry.
6. Add stain to remaining three sides of blocks; let dry.
7. Using pad and stamps, add letters to three sides of each block; let dry.
8. Add letters and numbers to the remaining three sides of the block; let dry.
9. Enjoy!
